Continuing our month of Peter Frampton, we’d like to throw it back to the time he played behind a Tiny Desk at NPR Music. Performing his classics All I Want To Be (Is By Your Side), Lines On My Face, and Baby, I Love Your Way, you can almost feel yourself traveling back in time to 1976. Watch HERE
A bit about Peter:
Grammy-winning guitarist Peter Frampton remains one of the most celebrated artists in rock history. At age 16, he was lead singer and guitarist for British band The Herd. At 18, he co-founded one of the first super groups, seminal rock act Humble Pie. His session work includes collaborations with such legendary artists as George Harrison, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ringo Starr and John Entwistle, among many others. Frampton has appeared as himself in television shows “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy.” He also served as technical advisor on Cameron Crowe’s film Almost Famous as well as appearing in it and writing songs for the soundtrack. In 2014, Frampton was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame. He recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of his fifth solo album, Frampton Comes Alive!, which remains one of the top-selling live records of all time.

Just announced, the show will be headlined by The Dustbowl Revival, a band with a vibrant mix of vintage Americana sounds brings an energizing vein of soul and funk and roots-infused rock that evokes the work of Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin and classic Stax recordings, and fits the band alongside such contemporaries as Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats and St. Paul & the Broken Bones.
And for the third year in a row, fan favorite Simon Petty will be opening!
Simon Petty is an English singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles whose husky vocals and confessional lyrics rise from a stylistic foundation of American blues, country and soul and a lifelong love of literature. He was Michael’s dear friend and longtime collaborator.
