The Basics

Name of Cause: Brian O'Connor Fund
Purpose: To help Brian O'Connor with urgent expenses.

The Details

Eagles of Death Metal bassist Brian O’Connor was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2010 and has been battling it ever since.

When Brian alerted members of his vast family of bands of his diagnosis, a human chain of support formed immediately. Members of Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures all touring in various locations around the globe, mobilized to take the load off Brian, so he could focus on preparing his mind and body for what lay ahead. Two Trans-Atlantic benefit shows were held to help raise funds for Brian’s medical and living expenses. Them Crooked Vultures headlined a sold-out show on July 5th at Brixton Academy in London. Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal played to a capacity crowd in Los Angeles at Club Nokia on August 12th.

Brian continues to receive treatment in his fight against cancer.  His spirits remain high and with the continued support of people like you, we are able to ensure that these life-saving treatments continue for BOC.
