First, we’d like to thank those who have supported Danny Amis since his unfortunate bout with meningitis. After months of slow recovery, we are able to give another update on his recovery journey. Danny writes:
“Hello, it’s really me this time. With an update. I had quite a scare a couple of months ago. I caught a bad case of meningitis, which put me in a coma for about 2-3 weeks, during which time I underwent emergency brain surgery. I ended up with a really impressive Frankenstein type of scar on my head. I’m only now starting to realize how serious this all is and how lucky I am to still be alive. I appreciate all the support I’ve received from my friends here. I’m staying at my brother’s house in Utah. Still trying to understand what I’ve been through. The good news is that my cancer has surprisingly gone into complete remission. Go figure!”
A fundraiser will be held to further support Danny and his recurring medical bills. Enjoy a night of music at Joe’s Great American Bar & Grill on Sunday, November 3rd @ 6 pm.
