Sweet News: Remembering Rob Max; MeetHook; New Supporters Playlist

In Loving Memory

This week we remember our dear friend and Executive Director, Rob Max, who left us suddenly and much too early 1 year ago. Rob was a force for good in the music community, he worked tirelessly with ill & disabled musicians to find solutions that would improve, and in some cases save their lives. When he joined Sweet Relief in 2009, Rob knew he had found his calling in life. His love for music, combined with his powerful ability to empathize with musicians in need, gave Sweet Relief an effective Executive Director for nearly a decade. Since his passing, we have honored his legacy with a Fund curated specifically for a cause most dear to him, the plight of the elder musician. We created the Rob Max Memorial Fund for Elder Musicians in light of Rob’s particular concern for older musicians; Rob believed that they deserved the utmost care and attention, and we are working diligently to support his vision. Thank you Rob; we love you, we miss you, and we are grateful for all the hours, all the energy, all the kindness you gave to musicians in need and to your family at Sweet Relief.
