#ThrowBackThursday Social D; Electric Standard @ Vans Warped Tour!

Let’s throw it back to when the OC Weekly covered the history of Social Distortion! “Why Social Distortion is Still Standing After Four Decades,” written by journalist Jimmy Alvarez, explains just how this band is still relevant and a staple in the punk world. He covers the bands early days in Fullerton, playing local shows with fellow bands AdolescentsChina White, and Shattered Faith. The article also reveals how the band’s music received significant radio play from Los Angeles radio station KROQ, where their song “Bad Luck” off their album Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell was played.

“… that album and song catapulted their message to the masses. It’s hard to quantify, but ‘92 seems to be the year planet Earth fell in love with these Real Punkers of Orange County.”
